More About This Training
In this training, you will learn what meditation is (probably not what you think it is). You'll learn about different types of meditation and mindfulness, the effects of meditation, the origins of meditation, the science behind it, and everything else you need to know to start your own program. It requires a minimal amount of time, and if you're like me, you know how precious your time is. Just like dieting and working out, the more you dedicate yourself to the practice, the stronger you get and the more you improve. The most important part of this training is to build a strong foundation on what the effects of a regular meditation practice are. The more knowledge you have, the more likely you will be to follow through.
When you go to the gym to workout, you have an idea of what you would like the outcome to be and what you're working for. You have to follow a repetitive routine in order to get the desired results. Those results are a healthy body: strength, stamina, and flexibility. Just like hitting the gym, hitting the chair for meditation will improve the strength, stamina, and flexibility of your mind (physically and mentally). And similar to a work out, you can watch videos and take instructor-led classes or follow a routine you found online to achieve your goals. But if you really want the best results, you need to do more than the work out. You need to know the right work outs, your body type, what to eat (working out usually isn't enough), a place or space to do it, typically an hour or more of time, the right gear, and finally, if you can afford it, a personal trainer.
This is where Empty Stress comes in. I'll be your personal trainer. The big difference is you only need one training, time for two fifteen-minute sessions a day, and a chair to get amazing results. Meditation is a powerful tool with infinite uses. With a calm and healthy mind, anything is possible. It's all covered in the Intro to Meditation training.
